Researchers have found many  compounds in spinach acts as antioxidants and fight against stomach, skin, breast, prostate cancers. Spinach is also extremely high in carotenes, which protect eyesight. Spinach is particularly rich in vitamin K,which helps to boost bone strength and may help reduce inflammation troughout the body. In addition, Spinach also  has a very high content of potassium and a low content of sodium. This composition of minerals is very beneficial for high blood pressure patients as potassium lowers and sodium raises the blood pressure, and its relatively high vitamin E content may help protect the brain from cognitive decline as we age.
